Margaret A. Barr, of Philadelphia, passed away on Sunday morning, September 6, 2020 at her residence. She was 82 years old. "Margie" as she was affectionately known by to her family and friends, was born on February 9, 1938 in Tyrone, PA to the late Andrew and Anna (née Lukas) Patrick.

Margie was profoundly faithful and lived that faith every day. She loved unconditionally, not only her husband, children and family but also friends, neighbors and many more she never met. Margie was at her best being a homemaker but she also worked various jobs throughout the years from driving school kids to decorating cakes to office work. She enjoyed cooking and was famous for her meatballs and brownies. She also used her skill in the kitchen to prepare food for "Meals on Wheels". In addition to cooking, Margie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, traveling with her husband of 55 years, reading scripture and watching classic TV sitcoms. Margie was beloved not only by her husband and children but also by everyone who was blessed to know her. Her love was radiant, kind, forgiving, unselfish and fearless. She will live in our hearts as an enduring gift from God, until we walk with her again.

Margie is survived by her husband, Gerald S. Barr and her children; Margaret A. Ciavardone (Richard), Patricia M. Eckert (Eric), Gerald S. Barr (Andrea), John M. Barr (Joan), Julia M. Love (Christopher), and Stephen J. Barr (Jennifer).
