John "Jack," of Philadelphia, passed away on September 7, 2020 at the age of 94. He was the beloved husband of Joann Lessig. They were married for sixty years. Jack was also loving Uncle of Linda, Susan, Lois, Laureen, Jessica, Lori Ann, Doug, Carl, Johnny and Vaughn; devoted son to the late Theodore and Ellen; and loving brother of the late Robert and Ted.

Jack proudly served our country as an Airmen in the United States Airforce during WWII. Jack loved building model planes and trains and was a member of the America Model Aeronautics, and the Train Collectors Association. Jack graduated from Mastbaum Vocational School in 1944, and retired from PECO as a foreman in transportation in Berwyn, PA. Jack was an animal lover, and enjoyed gardening in his backyard and in the woods behind his home.

Family and friends are invited to Jack's Life Celebration on Saturday, September 12th, from 11 – 12 PM for an outdoor service at the John F. Givnish Funeral Home, 10975 Academy Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19154. Services will begin at 12 PM. Interment will be held at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jack's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
