Obituary for Eneida Luz Cancel

July 9, 2022
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Eneida Luz Cancel, of Philadelphia, passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 9th, 2022, at the young age of 28 years old. She was the beloved daughter of Francisco Cancel Jr, Noemi and Efrain Torres, Granddaughter of David and Luz Molinary, Eneida, Iris and Ramona. The devoted fiancé to Ricardo, the loving sister to Christian, Jessica, Lynette, and Yanira. The dedicated mother to Nathan, Joesiah, Cameron, and Johnathan. Eneida also loved her one and only niece Chloe. She will be greatly missed by her cousin Jasmin, who was always by her side. Eneida was loved deeply by her many aunts, uncles, great aunts, and great uncles. And of course, every single one of her cousins who she adored.

Eneida Cancel was born in Brooklyn, New York, and moved to Philadelphia when she was 8 years old. A small girl with lots of big dreams. She graduated from Excel Academy North and at one point, wanted to work alongside animals, then she grew to enjoy criminal justice, suddenly she found a passion in artistry with cooking, and finally she realized her purpose in life was to help people. Eneida realized her ultimate dream was to be a nurse. She wanted to nurture the sick and injured back to health. Eneida was selfless, caring, honest, and passionate about the things she loved. Some of her favorite hobbies included dancing, listening to music, baking, camping, going to the beach, and hanging out with friends and family.

The most important thing that brought Eneida the utmost joy and happiness was her four children, Nathan, Joesiah, Cameron, and Johnathan. Eneida experienced the hardships of being a young mom, but the love of her children made her blossom into a strong woman and devoted mother. To her, the only thing in the world that mattered most, was to be the best mom she could be and provide a beautiful life for her and her children. The love she had for her sons was unconditional and eternal. The only thing that brought her joy was to see them laugh and know that they would have each other forever. There was nothing she wouldn't do to make sure her children were happy and healthy. She loved making memories with them by taking them on trips and teaching them new things.

Eneida had a big heart, and it grew ten times bigger when she met the love of her life, Rick. She was grateful to have met someone who was willing to step up and become the father figure she knew her boys needed. She loved and accepted his children as if they were her own, and together their new blended family created an unbreakable bond. Eneida's life was full of love and laughter. She was spunky, spontaneous, funny, beautiful, fearless, and a fighter. She was always the life of the party and lit up every room she entered. Her spirit and her energy will live in our hearts forever.

Family and friends are invited to Eneida's Life Celebration on Sunday, July 17th from 1 – 3 PM at the John F. Givnish Funeral Home, 10975 Academy Rd., Philadelphia, PA 19154. A funeral service will follow at 3PM.
