Lodge (nee Gallagher) Elizabeth A.
Feb 9, 1937 – October 5, 2020

Elizabeth Lodge (nee Gallagher) was born in Philadelphia, PA to Joseph and Mary Gallagher, immigrants from Northern Ireland, on Feb. 9, 1937. She was the one of six children – and was younger sister to Marguerite, Marie, Billy and Kathleen (all of whom predeceased her), and the older sister to Claire Teubner, with whom she shared an especially close relationship. Betty attended Little Flower High School and met her beloved husband, Paul J. Lodge, at a local dance. They were married on Sept. 30, 1961, and went on to build their family with four children. Betty attended night school while her children were young and eventually earned a bachelor's degree from Gwynedd Mercy College, and graduated Summa Cum Laude. She had a successful career as an Accounting Manager at several local firms. Betty will be deeply missed by her husband Paul and her children, Lisa, Denise, Paul (spouse Karen) and Mary Jo, and her grandchildren, Sarah (spouse Andrew), Brady, Lauren, Madeline, Ciara, Alivia and Lily, and her great grandson, Wyatt, along with numerous nieces, including Margie (spouse Donnie) and Debbie (spouse Charles), and nephews.

Betty was proud of her Irish heritage, and was glad to keep up her connections with her extended family in Northern Ireland. She enjoyed traveling, both on cruise ships and to the Jersey Shore and the Poconos, where she spent many vacations. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed shopping. She also liked watching Hallmark movies and home design shows on HGTV, and decorating and caring for her home. She was a dedicated caregiver, a loving mother and grandmother, and steadfast and supportive spouse to Paul, with whom she celebrated her 59th wedding anniversary just days before her passing.

Family and friends are invited to Elizabeth's Life Celebration from 1:00-2:00pm, Monday, October 12th at Decker/Givnish Funeral Home, 216 York Road, Warminster, PA. Interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Philadelphia. All services will utilize social distancing and require masks. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the charity of your choice in Betty's honor.
